Jose Gonzalez, 79, passed away on January 23, 2026. He was born on December 15, 1946, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Jesus Gonzalez and Joaquina Ramirez, and was raised in Guadalajara with his 13 siblings.

Jose moved to Toledo in the mid-1960s, where he worked for Jeep for 30 years before retiring in 2003. He later relocated to Florida, where he enjoyed retirement and remained active.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lupita; his daughters, Sandra (Ethan), Yolanda (Murray) and son, JR; and his stepchildren, Mario, Alexander, and Roxanne (Victor). He was a proud grandfather to Jovani, Annalea, Cole, Maria, Nico, Andre, Andrew, Liam, Antonio, Evey, Cuitla, Yazmin, and Alejandro. Great grandchildren Zander, Ryder, Nichole, Elohim, Andrè, and Zuri.

Jose had a passion for singing, dancing, traveling, woodworking, and spending time outdoors. He loved soccer and played for many years. He was also known for enjoying a good glass of tequila, always accompanied by laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments with loved ones. Known for his strong work ethic, being brutally honest and energetic spirit, he was rarely one to sit still.

Jose will be remembered for his dedication to family, his joyful personality, and his love for life.
