Obituary

Zachary Michael Jackson

We come together today with aching hearts for our beloved Zachary Michael Jackson. "Our Sweet Boy" was called to Heaven as an Angel on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 just 6 days after turning 9 months old.

Zachary was born on October 12, 2017 at Winnie Palmer Hospital and from that day he was the most happy, cheerful, loving and precious little guy we could have ever hoped for. For such a little guy, he sure left a giant impression on everyone he met. Zachary brought so much joy to all of our lives and everyone was happier by just being around his ever smiling, hugely magnetic personality.

Zachary was quite the active baby in his short but fun-filled life. And as you have seen, there may have never been a baby more photographed in 9 months than Zachary was!

Here are some of the places Zachary went and some of the things he was able to do:

- Our first dinner with Zachary was at Texas Roadhouse when he was a few days old. Those delicious rolls became his favorite when he first tried them at 6 months old!

- Nobody in the world gave more big, wet kisses than Zachary, but he gave them with such love and conviction that no one could refuse!

- He was always so happy to see you in the morning, with his bright eyes and big smile. And some mornings he even gave us a present in his diaper to wake up to…

- He went to Disney and got his first set of Disney ears in April

- He went to Hooters and stole all of the ladies' hearts back in December

- Went to the Strawberry Festival and discovered his love for Pineapple Whip cones in March

- He enjoyed a fun filled vacation in Key West in June with his family and Aunt Kari, Ryan Collier and his cousins Logan, Drew and Abbey, hitting the    most popular spots like Southernmost Point, Sloppy Joe's and the iconic nightly sunsets.

- He went to Universal Studios, visiting Harry Potter World and met Optimus Prime and had his picture taken with him.

- He loved splashing Mommy while he took a bath and left a trail of water across the bathroom floor.

- Zachary always wanted to be "on the go" and one of his favorite things to do was to go shopping with Mommy.

- Loved to go shopping at BJ's with Mommy and met his BJ's girlfriend, Karen there.

- Loved watching sports with Daddy, trying to talk to the TV like he was the coach!

- Zachary was able to make the "ABC" song a Billboard Top 10 hit again with as many times as he wanted us to sing it to him! No matter how tired or upset he was, he calmed down before the letter "G" in the song every time!

- His favorite sleeping spot was on Mommy or Daddy's chest, and he loved to get patted on the rear to help put him to sleep.

- Learned to "Dance" just recently

- Learned to stand for 15 seconds by himself just a month ago

- Learned to crawl, albeit backwards, but he could move really fast!

- Learned to clap his hands just a week ago.

- Had a very special way of waving goodbye.

- Just starting to learn how to "High Five" just in time for football season coming up.

- Just last weekend he went to his first movie, The Incredibles II and sat there and watched the whole thing, with Jack Jack being his favorite of the Incredibles family.

- Loved to be tickled and play "Peek a Boo" with his blanket, diaper or whatever else he could cover his face with.

- Was the first person to greet Daddy when he came home from work, with a huge smile, from his activity center, recently learning to say "Up" when he wanted to be picked up.

- Mastered the words "Mama," "Dada," "Bubba," and was working hard and was SO close to get "Sissy" down.

Although we will never hold him in our arms again, Zachary and these memories are forever in our hearts. His big, blue eyes, sweet smiles, wet kisses and hearty laughs will never be forgotten.

In your short time with us Zachary, you taught us so many things and helped us all remember to celebrate the little things like waking up each morning to see your smiling face and the value of cherishing each day as if it could be our last. You helped mend broken bridges in our family that will stay mended as a tribute to your sweetness and ability to bring ALL those who loved you together, whether family or friends. You helped us all to see the world through your wondrous eyes, always finding a way to brighten the day and make us feel better!

Zachary is survived by his mother and I, Anna and Mike Jackson, his sister Charity and brothers Nicholas and Nathan. He is also survived by his grandparents, Cheri "Blue Grandma" and "Grandpa" Jerry Fielder, Michael "Pepaw" Brown, Penny "Nana" and "Grandpa" Dave Waller. Aunts and Uncles Kari Reichert and Ryan Collier, Nancy and Barry White, Kerry and Chad Ward, Melissa and Tommy Moore and Tracy and Aaron Cornell. Zachary was preceded in death by Aunts Carole Brown and Rene' Susan. Numerous cousins and extended family were also very special in Zachary's life and all will also miss him greatly.

As a special tribute to Zachary and to represent the unifying spirit that he had, we ask that each of you participate in a random act of kindness to help make someone smile and happy, just like Zachary always did for everyone.

Zachary Michael Jackson, thank you for choosing us to be your parents. You will always be "Our Sweet Boy" and we love you more than you could ever know and you will forever be the brightest star in our sky.

With Eternal Love,

Mommy and Daddy
