Winifred "Winnie" C. Sheppard, 93, passed peacefully at her son's home surrounded by her family on December 25, 2021. She was born in New York City on April 5, 1928 and later in her life lived in Newburgh, New York for many years. From there, she moved to Florida and settled in Clermont with her sister, Eleanor Bettker. Winnie was an avid reader from childhood and also had a love for writing notes and cards for people on all sorts of occasions. She was a faithful member of Woodlands  Lutheran Church and a Godly Christian woman who was always willing to help others in anyway she could.
Winnie had four children and was preceded in death by her oldest son Clarence Ray "Shep" Sheppard, Jr. (Rosie). Her surviving children are Karl Sheppard (Belva) of Waco, Texas, Richard Sheppard (Gavhar) of Gainesville, Florida and Dana Booth (Art) of Billings, Montana. Surviving relatives also include a sister, Eleanor Bettker, four nieces, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She loved them all very much and she will be greatly missed.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Woodlands Lutheran  Church Love Fund, of Montverde, FL, in her name.
