William "Bo" Jasper Waldrop, born in Birmingham, Alabama January 4, 1953, passed away peacefully at his home in Clermont, Florida on November 19, 2020.

As a young child, Bo moved to Orlando, Florida and later attended Boone High School. Bo graduated from Valencia Community College and Florida State Fire College.  Upon graduation from FSFC, Bo joined the Orla Vista Fire Department before beginning his twenty-nine-year career with the Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID) at Walt Disney World.  While at RCID, he served on the Reedy Creek Professional Firefighters Association, Local 2117 negotiating team and executive board. He participated in boot drives, Christmas drives, and played Santa Claus for families in need.  Bo enjoyed motorcycling, boating, camping, and spending time with family and friends.  He had a passion for restoring Scotty campers and attending Tin Can Tourist events.  He appreciated getting away and camping in Florida's many state parks. Bo was a member of Orlando Moose Lodge 766.  During retirement, he developed a love of karaoke and enjoyed singing and performing as much as he did bringing the music to local social events and family reunions in Mississippi.

Bo is survived by his wife Betty Waldrop, daughter Amanda Waldrop, stepchildren Deborah Harris, Wayne Harris, grandchildren Riley Davis, Abbey Davis, step granddaughter Piper Harris, siblings Joe (Diane) Waldrop, Ruby "Sissie" Huey, Paula Tabor and nephews Michael Waldrop, Brian Elder, and Brad (Shannon) Waldrop.

A private memorial service with firefighter honors will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Becker Funeral Home.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be given in Bo's name to Firefighter Cancer Support Network, Florida Chapter 10217 SW Fernwood Ave. Port St. Lucie, FL 34987 or Cornerstone Hospice Foundation 2445 Lane Park Road Tavares, FL 32778.
