Obituary

Wayne "Possum" Varnado, 66, of Webster, FL passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at South Lake Hospital.  Wayne was born on December 17, 1945 in Orlando, FL, the son of Wilbur and Billie (nee Howard) Varnado.  After growing up in Groveland and graduating from high school Wayne served in the U.S. Army and then attended college.  He was a Boilermaker by trade and member of the Boilermaker Local #433 of Tampa, FL.  Wayne was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Mascotte, FL, enjoyed photography, scuba diving and the Clermont Chess Club.

Wayne is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Varnado of Webster, FL and Tiffany Varnado of Tampa, FL; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Romine and brothers, Ronnie and Snookie.



Funeral services for Wayne will be held at 11AM Saturday, May 26th at the Mascotte Church of God of Prophecy, Brother Tommy Whitten officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 AM until service time.  Interment will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
