Obituary
Wanda M. Roberts, 70, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Born on May 16, 1946 in Williamston, MI to the proud parents of Harley & Margaret (Grostefon) Beach, Wanda moved to Central Florida in 1979, coming from Jackson, MI. She retired from a long career in retail as a district sales manager and enjoyed playing cards on Monday and Friday nights. Wanda grew up in the Methodist church, but her last few years, she regularly worshiped at the Holiday Mission services held at Holiday Travel Resort in Leesburg, FL. She was a greeter at the church, was a home finder for cats & kittens, a willing hand and great asset to the Holiday Travel theater group, a member of the Aquanuts Pool Beauties and was always willing to help anyone at any time. She was preceded in death by her brothers: John & Gayle Beach and son-in-law Jeffrey Kurz. Survivors include her sons: David & Samorn Sporkia and Mark Sporkia; her daughter, Lisa Kurz; a sister, Jeanne (Beach) Heffington; her grandchildren: Ina, Nathaniel, Martin, Kristen, Stephen, Emily & Penny; her great-grandchildren, Hannah & Mason; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Sporkia and sister-in-law, Geraldine Beach Fink. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Holiday Travel Resort in Leesburg, FL with Reverend Jack Long officiating.
