Obituary
Walter Kevin Nelson, age 67, Clermont, passed away February 9, 2016. He was born August 31, 1948 in Danbury, CT son of Edith Tilford & Irving Nelson. He served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict. On October 17, 1970 he was united in marriage to Christine Ann Skawinski in Trumbull, CT. A central Florida resident since 1987 from Connecticut & Georgia, he was a 35 year member of Carpenters Union Local 1905. His son Andrew J. Nelson preceded him in death in 2004. Surviving are his wife Christine; children & their spouses Clint & Tracy Nelson, Apopka & Kelly & Erik Allison, Clermont; grandchildren Brynn Halpern & Andie Allison & brother Jason Nelson, Savannah, GA.
Friends & relatives are invited to a Mass of the Resurrection which will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, celebrated by Reverend Roy Eco. A reception will follow at the home of Erik and Kelly Allison.
Burial will be private in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
