Wallace Beryl Dean
Martinez, GA - Entered into rest on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Mr. Wallace Beryl Dean, loving husband of 60 years to Janie Patricia Dean. Other family members include his son: James Dean (Stephanie), granddaughter: Allie Dean; sisters: Donna Ashberry, Charlotte Roberts, Sherry Horn, Debbie Murray, brother: Melvin Dean. Wallace was predeceased by his siblings: Dennis, Marvin, Timothy, and Ellen Dean.

Wallace was born in Brunswick Georgia, but grew up in Groveland, Florida, graduating from Groveland High School.

While attending Groveland High School, he set the state record in Track & Field for the One-Mile Run, which he held for nearly 30 years.

He enlisted in the US Army in 1964 and served one tour in Vietnam, Korea, and in Germany. Following his Army retirement, he began a second career with General Dynamics where he was an instructor at Fort Gordon with the Signal Corps. He was a longtime member of Pine View Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grampy.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Pine View Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Pine View Baptist Church.

The burial will be at Dukes Cemetery in Groveland, Florida on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM with full military honors.
