Obituary

Vivian Giachetti Reed, age 92, of Clermont Florida passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years Bob Giachetti, son Christopher Giachetti and
second husband of 34 years Bill Reed.


Vivian is survived by sons Robert "Robin" Giachetti (Roni) and Richard "Rick" Giachetti (Terry);
step-daughters Reneé Taylor (Fred, deceased), Deann Stump (Mike), Patricia Reed (Sharon)
grandchildren Matt Giachetti (deceased), Michael Giachetti (Deranda), Anna De La Torriente
(Hector), Wes Giachetti, Ryan Giachetti (Janie), Aprylle Stiefel (Mitchell), Ambyr Nieves
(Glidden), Crystal Giachetti (Josh), Amber Greer (Pat), Sara Stradling (Scott Oliver), Ben Taylor
(deceased); 14 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Sue Cofield and Doreathea Mullis and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Dell and Rosie. Her life was full of love
and devotion to her family.


Vivian was born in Douglas, Georgia and moved to Clermont after graduating from Junior High
School from Upton Jr HS in Coffee County. She graduated from Clermont High. After graduation
she married Robert "Bob" Giachetti and they had three sons. She took care of her father-in-law
as she raised her boys. While being a homemaker she was Civic Service chair, Groveland Jr.
Women's Club; PTA Treasurer; Band-Aids Committee Chair for the Groveland Band; Women's
Society Christian Service at Edge Memorial UM Church; Den Mother Boy Scouts of America;
Sunday School Teacher at Edge; Volunteer for Mother's March of Dimes, Cancer, Heart and Red
Cross; Pink Lady at the Clermont Hospital; Received Outstanding Worker Exec Central FL Scouts.
She was a dedicated mother who supported all activities involving her boys. She never missed a
game or event. Vivian brought her sons to church faithfully and they never missed MYF. She
enjoyed Bingo with her friends. She helped her husband Bob with his business keeping the
books and payroll. She helped deliver mail as a sub driver, was a dental assistant with Dr. Alan T
Davis in Groveland. Vivian enjoyed working at Giachetti Men's Wear in Clermont for many years.

After the death of Bob Giachetti, Vivian later married Bill Reed. They enjoyed playing cards with
sister Sue & brother-in-law John Cofield, also with friends Joan and Mickey Cronicich. Biloxi was
a favored destination as well as cruises and purchasing lottery tickets was a favorite pastime.
Vivian was known as "Bibbi" by her children and most who knew her. She was a beautiful lady
who loved her family and friends. She had over 100 family pictures in her home and enjoyed
looking at them each day. Bibbi loved sweets, chocolates, Vienna Fingers, and her nightly ice
cream cone made by son Robin. She loved Elvis and loved to dance. The meals-on-wheels
volunteers were special people who made her lunch time a daily highlite as they delivered the
meal and visited with her. Bibbi enjoyed visitors and seeing her grandchildren.


A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Edge Memorial
United Methodist Church in Groveland, FL. Vivian's nephew, Bill Mullis, will conduct the service.
There will be a reception in the church social hall immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Vivian's memory to Living Hope Church-Meals on
Wheels in Clermont or to the charity of your choice.
