Vickie Lynn Bruce, age 59, Groveland, went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2014 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 11, 1955 in Pine Glen, PA daughter of Elizabeth Gaffney & the late Lester Gaffney. A lifelong resident of Groveland and united in marriage to William H. Bruce, Jr. An active member of Inspired Life Ministries in Groveland. Vickie spent years in the service industry and many years as a server at On the Corner Seafood Bar & Grill in Clermont. She was preceded in death by son Billy. Survived by her husband William; mother Elizabeth Gaffney; maternal grandmother Alice Meiggs & daughter Gina (Brandon) Coppage all of Groveland; grandchildren Cameron, Payton, Kourtni & Logan Coppage; great-grandchildren Aleah & Danny Jones; Khloe & Hailey Coppage & Elliana Rivera & brothers Larry (Mari) Gaffney, Gainesville & Rick (Amy) Gaffney, Winter Garden, nephews Allen Gaffney, Kendall FL, Grant & Davis Gaffney, Winter Garden and niece Grace Gaffney, Winter Garden. The funeral service for Vickie Bruce will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Linden Church of God. Pastor Brandon Coppage, her son-in-law, of Inspired Life Ministries will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Groveland.
