Obituary

Ulises Cardona Sr., of Clermont, Florida, passed away on December 1st, 2018 at 11:50 pm. He was 85 years old. He was born on November 28, 1933 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. He was the son of the late Gumercindo and Consuelo Cardona. He moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1954. In 1956 he married Elba Rolon, and together they had 3 sons: Ulyses Jr, Angel David and Eric. They were married for 62 years. He moved his family to Lansdale, Pennsylvania in 1966 where he lived until he retired in 1996. He then moved to Clermont, Florida.

Mr. Cardona worked at the Rollie Manufacturing Plant in Lansdale from 1954 until 1970. He then started working at Philco Ford in Lansdale from 1970 until he retired in 1996.

Mr. Cardona was a devoted family man. He was a man of few words, however, when he spoke he expressed kindness from the heart. He was a man of great faith. He was a member of Real Life Church in Clermont, Florida. He was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies. He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Elba and their three children Ulyses Jr. and his wife Laurie of Lake Mary, Florida, Angel Dave and his wife Maureen of Oakland,Florida and Eric and his wife Kim of Statesville, North Carolina; his grandchildren: Lisa Bliss, Adam Cardona, Jennifer Brown, Angela Ellis, Eric Cardona Jr, Ryan Cardona and Jessica Kline; his great-grandchildren: Brandon Bliss, Evelyn, Lincoln and Lucia Cardona, Addison Key and Miles Ellis, Maddox and Jaxon Brown, Lina Cardona, Eric III and Caleb Cardona, Chloe, Cailyn, Colin and Clara Kline. He is survived by his sisters, Patria Rolon and her husband Rafael, Emma Perez and his brother Florencio (Tito) Cardona and his wife Carmen. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lydia Gonzales and Marta Hymovitz, and his brother-in-law Manuel Perez.

The funeral service will be held at Real Life Church in Clermont, Florida at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 7, 2018. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 801 East Ave, Clermont, Florida.
