Townly Hylton, went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on January 16, 1954, to Uel Hylton and Hortense Love, Townly lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity.

A true gentle giant, Townly had a heart for people. He found joy in bringing others together, ensuring they were not only well-fed but also surrounded by warmth and kindness. His love for cooking led him to a long career as a chef on cruise lines, where he delighted countless people with his culinary skills. Many knew him affectionately by different names—Monty, Tony, or simply Chef—a testament to the many connections he made throughout his life.

One of the things Townly was most known for was his smile. It was a reflection of his kind and welcoming spirit, a smile that could brighten any room and bring comfort to those around him.

Townly also loved to have conversations, always engaging others with plenty of questions. He took a genuine interest in everyone he spoke with, making them feel valued and heard. His ability to connect with people was one of his greatest gifts.

He was also a sharp dresser with a strong sense of fashion. Whether in casual settings or formal occasions, Townly always took pride in his appearance, carrying himself with style and confidence.

Later in life, Townly experienced a profound spiritual transformation. He gave his life to God and was baptized in Jesus' name at Harvestime Tabernacle in Brooklyn, NY, a testament to his faith and devotion.

Townly leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeniffer; his sons, Christopher (Samantha) and Mikhail (Colesha); and his granddaughters, Hailey, Heaven, Harlow, and Harper, siblings, as well as his nieces & nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Townly is now at peace, rejoicing in the presence of the Lord. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for others will never be forgotten.
