Obituary

Tony Edward Robinette, 52, of Clermont, formerly of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.  He was born March 26, 1970, in Madison, WV, to Carl Junior Robinette and Linda Lou Maynard, he was the stepson of Sam Adkins and Alice Robinette.

He was a graduate of Omar Douglas High School in Omar, WV, and received a Printing Degree from Ralph R. Willis Vocational School.

Tony loved going to church and attended Groveland Baptist Church where he was active and taught Adult Sunday School class.  He always told people to "Love the Lord" and his favorite song was Amazing Grace.

When not teaching Sunday School, Tony enjoyed fishing and football.  He was a huge football fan, particularly of the Michigan Wolverines, and was known as "Mr. Michigan." He also enjoyed the family trips to Dollywood.

Tony had an incredible personality, making friends wherever he went. He always knew how to make everyone around him laugh.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Lucy; mother, Linda; and his stepfather Sam, who he affectionately called El Jefe (boss).  His last words were directed to Sam at the hospital when he opened his eyes, looked at Sam, and said "El Jefe."  He is also survived by countless nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Carl; his brother, CJ; his half-sister Carletta, his stepmother Alice, and his grandparents.

A Memorial Service held Sunday, November 20, 2022, 11am, at Groveland Baptist Church South Main Street, Groveland, FL 34736
