Tony Verdell Gilbert, 48, Douglas, GA resident & former Ocoee resident passed away December 30, 2012 in Douglas. He was born October 28, 1964 in Orlando son of Betty Jo Sanders & Clayton Verdell Gilbert and was a graduate of West Orange High School. He worked for FMC Management in Orlando for a number of years and managed Legends Sports Bar/Restaurant in Brunswick, GA. He also was a former law enforcement trainer. He was an avid hunter and was of Apostolic faith. Surviving are his children Clayton Gilbert (21) & Allison Gilbert (18) both of Deltona; parents Clayton & Betty Jo Gilbert, Leesburg; siblings Ricky Gilbert, Wildwood; Sandra (Frank) Ramos, Winter Haven; Gennie Bell & April (James) McDowell all of Clermont & Sonya Todd, Groveland & nieces & nephews.



The funeral service for Tony Gilbert will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the Becker Chapel. Pastor David Sizemore, The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ will officiate.
