Obituary

Mr. Weathers passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. He was born to Annie and Neal Weathers on March 3, 1929 in Drumright, Oklahoma. He grew up on his parents dairy farm and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He was a Korean War Veteran where he served as a Navy pilot flying F4U Corsairs off of aircraft carriers. He attended flight school with astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Alan Shepard. He married Lucille Weathers on June 4, 1960 and they had two sons, Jeffrey and Steve. He had a very successful career with Conoco Oil, which enabled them to travel the world. He is predeceased by his sister, Patricia Weathers Rains, his son, Steve Weathers, his wife, Lucille Weathers and his beloved "Prince." He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Weathers, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many close friends, neighbors and colleagues who will miss him dearly. There will be a visitation Friday, September 2, 2016 from 4-6 PM at Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, FL. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
