Timothy Lee Jackson, 78, of Groveland, FL, passed away peacefully in his sleep during the afternoon hours of January 19, 2025, under hospice care in the memory care unit of his assisted living residence in Clermont, FL. A native of Friendship, OH, Tim was the youngest son of the late Jesse Dean and Ethel Grace (Beoddy) Jackson and served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his wife Gilda Lynn (Johnson) Jackson, to whom he had been married for just shy of 30 years at the time of her passing on July 7, 2021; his elder sister Carol Ann Jackson; his younger sister Susan Grace Jackson, Ph.D.; and his daughter Liwanda (Jackson) Tackett. He is survived by his older brother Edwin "Eddie" (Sandy) Jackson; son Lonnie (Brandy) Jackson, a native of Columbus, OH, currently living in West Portsmouth, OH; stepdaughter Michele L. Johnson, Esq., a native of Portsmouth, OH, currently living in Groveland, FL; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. As was also chosen for Lynn, at her request, there will be no funeral services for Tim. Instead, the families have opted for a private graveside service for both Tim and Lynn at home in Ohio in the spring.
