Tom was truly a lifelong learner and achieved many degrees in his pursuit for knowledge. As an adult, Tom went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Franklin Pierce College and an MBA from Boston University. However, one of his most impressive educational feats was completing his Doctorate of Business Administration from Wilmington University around the time most people are retiring. Tom was a CPA as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He held many respectable positions as a consultant, manager, personal CPA, and Professor over his long career.
Tom was a tenured Professor at Plymouth State University where he worked for just over 9 years and up until the day of his passing. He truly loved teaching and enjoyed the interaction with all his students. As his wife Judy fondly recalled, he encouraged them to be and do their best and was available anytime to help them whenever they needed him, even if it meant answering an email during dinner.
Tom was a member of the Army National Guard during the Vietnam war.
He loved music and even taught himself how to play the guitar. His hobbies also included boating, fishing, golfing, exercising, and reading.
Throughout his lifetime, Tom lived in many states with his loving wife. He was passionate about exploring the country by car and often went on road trips with his wife and grandson John.
Tom had many family members, friends, associates, and students who will miss him greatly.
Arrangements are being made by Frederick Cafasso Funeral Home, Everett, Mass.; service to be held at a future date.
