Thomas Edward Flynn, born in Bridgeport, CT on July 26, 1949, passed away after a brief illness in Clermont, FL on December 31, 2021.

Tom was a proud Vietnam Veteran – having served as a combat infantry radioman in the 82nd Airborne and then 25th Infantry Divisions from 1969-1970 – and a graduate of Fairfield University. He had a thirty year career managing quality assurance of medical instruments and devices. He spent his adult life enjoying his native state of Connecticut and retired happily to Groveland, FL in 2015. His last six years in Florida were relished, full of travel, parties, music, his daily neighborhood walk, and witty repartee with new friends around the pool. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was active in supporting veterans groups and causes.

He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Debbie; son Christopher of the Shenandoah Valley, VA; his sisters Patricia and Terry Flynn of Shelton, CT; sister Kathy (Tim) Wallace of Dunnellon, FL; brothers Edward (Patricia) Flynn of Milford, CT and Daniel (Patricia) Flynn of Monroe, CT; sister Jennifer (Paul) Silverstein of Hampton, GA; nieces and nephews from Copenhagen to Texas and across the Eastern Seaboard; uncle Bob and cousin Robbie Wirtig of Danbury, CT; and close cousin Billy (Connie) Buckson of Culpeper, VA.
