Thomas DeWitt, 69, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Clermont, FL. Born on December 2, 1954 in Flint, MI. Tom was a Carmen Cougar class of '73 and furthered his education as a Theta Chi at Central Michigan University. Tom dedicated 40 years to his family business, DeWitt Excavating. Within his time at Dewitt he accomplished the installation of many difficult pipe laying jobs. He paved the way to many roads throughout central Florida.

T om was an avid hunter across America. He succeeded in becoming a world class turkey hunter. He shared his love of hunting with his kids. They will cherish these memories. Tom's larger-than-life personality was only eclipsed by his profound love for his family and dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Judi DeWitt; and children, Nick, Thomas, and Robin DeWitt. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale DeWitt; mother, Marie DeWitt; and his brother, Theodore DeWitt.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 US-27, Clermont, FL 34711, on Saturday, November 2nd from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
