Obituary

Thomas Benino, 89, of Groveland, FL passed away Monday, October 7, 2019.  Thomas was born on February 17, 1930 in Savannah, GA, son of Thomas P. and Lillian Benino.  He attended school in Brooklyn, NY and was a graduate of NYIT.  After college Thomas enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1953 to 1961.
After the military Thomas worked for Nassau County for 20 years as a Superintendent of Building Operations and Maintenance.  Working all his years as an engineer and technician, he was able to help and fix anything for anyone.  During this time he married Ellen Finn, from Ireland, and they were married for over 20 years, living in the New York area.
Tom had a love of the outdoors, animals and dancing.  Spending a lot of his time in upstate New York he able to enjoy this things quite often.
Tom spent his later years in New York and Florida, sharing his life with Diane for over 20 years, enjoying the best of life.
Tom is survived by his son, Thomas of Orlando, FL; fiance, Diane Gombita of Groveland; sister, Jackie Dwyer of Leesburg, FL and grandchildren, Brodan Guinan, Keelin Guinan and Christian Navetta.
