Stuart Young, 72, of Groveland, Florida, passed away, Sunday, June 19, 2016.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, June 29th at the Becker Funeral Home, 806 West Minneola Avenue, Clermont, Florida. Stuart will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Instead of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Stuart's name to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation at the CCFA National Processing Center PO Box 1245 Albert Lea, MN 56007-9976.

Stuart was born in Hertford, England. He is survived by his wife Norma of 40 years, daughter Vanessa and son-in-law Tommy, son Stuart and grandsons Austin and Stuart Jr., brother Arthur and his wife Jacqueline, brother Ralph and his wife Christine, and many loving nieces and nephews.  Stuart was a loving father, husband and teacher.  He enjoyed teaching and helping others. Stuart served in the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer(CW4).  Upon retiring from the military, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri.  In recent years, he retired from teaching the 3rd and 5th grades at Groveland Elementary where he was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2009.  Stuart was loved by many and will forever live in the hearts of all the lives he touched. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.

Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Daisy Young, sisters June and Joy.
