Stephen Dwight "Chunk" Meeker's Obituary
MEEKER, S. DWIGHT "CHUNK", 1948-2016, a third generation and lifelong resident of Clermont, Florida, died Friday, October 21, 2016, at the age of 67, following a courageous battle with cancer. Dwight, known to his friends and family as "Chunk", was born to Marvin Meeker and Barbara Ann Harmon, in Orlando, Florida on November 1, 1948.
Chunk is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Anne Meeker, daughter, Jacqueline Durham, son, Dwight Meeker, mother, Barbara Ann Harmon, brothers, Michael Meeker and Bin Harmon, sister, Robin Crawford, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and amazing friends.
Chunk worked in the citrus and agriculture field his entire life, and his passion for this industry made his work more of an avocation than an occupation. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and Florida Gator football with his friends and family.
Chunk was a kind, devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His passing leaves a void in the hearts and lives of his family and many friends, who loved and adored him for his humor, fun spirit, wit, kind heart and infectious laughter.
