It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stella Ruth Houliaras (Newsome), 74, on February 4, 2025. Stella was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Ruth and Lewis Newsome. Stella was preceded in death by her sisters, Debbie and Edna; survived by sister, Louann.

After working hard for many years at Seabrook Brothers and Son, Winslow Township School District in New Jersey, and The Walt Disney Company, Stella spent her final years retired in sunny Florida. As a lover of all things Disney, she spent as many days at WDW theme parks as she could; riding rides, eating different cuisines, and never tiring of the parades or fireworks. When she wasn't visiting parks, you could find her in her favorite recliner catching up on her "soaps," relaxing in the community pool or hot tub, or playing games with her grandkids.

Stella raised five beautiful children and was her family's biggest fan, never missing an opportunity to brag about her children or grandchildren. She took great value in the power of a good laugh, a trait she passed to all of her kids. An animal lover, Stella befriended every cat, dog, horse, guinea pig, or even goat that crossed her path. The kindness in her heart was felt by everyone around her.

Stella is survived by her children, Cheri (Rob), Ruth (Mark), Chris (Crystal), Tula (Eric), and Jimmy; Grandchildren, Zach, Alfred (Sami), Adam, Bobby, Nick, Carson, Aiden, Jake, Luke, Alex, Ava, Jayson, Carly, and Chase; great-grandchildren, Alfred and Hazen.

No service will be held in Florida, but a memorial service will be planned in New Jersey at a later date.
