Shodhan (Kesho) Harricharran, 71, of Groveland, Florida, passed on November 18th, 2024, in Clermont, Florida.
He was born on October 20, 1953, in Alness Village, Berbice, Guyana, to the late Shant Prashad and Enid J. Hurchuran. Shodhan was an engineer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He loved black-and-white movies, Mukesh's music, and anything sweet to eat. His children and grandchildren meant everything to him.
He was a student, an educator, and an enthusiast. He strived and worked hard for the life he built, not only for himself but also for his family. Shodhan came to this country for better opportunities and took advantage of all the resources offered to him.
He is survived by his wife, Gala Harricharran; children, Venita (Reggie) Bejai, Sherry (Bobby) Harricharran, and Pormaish (Cassandra) Harricharran; grandchildren, Alisha and Adrian Bejai; siblings, Rajkumari (Philip) Mohabir, Premsukh (Amrita) Prashad, and Bidya (Margaret) Prashad, and sister-in-law, Mona Prashad.
Besides his parents, Shodhan is preceded in death by his brother, Harrish Prashad.
Shodhan will forever be remembered as a loving and supportive soul. He was personable, friendly, and kind to everyone who crossed paths with him. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the lives he touched so profoundly.
Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2024, from 6pm until 9pm, at Becker Funeral Home.
Hindu Services will be held Tuesday morning starting at 6:30am at the Funeral Home.
