Shirley Maurice Palmer Holt, 87, of Clermont and widow of Joseph Griffin Holt passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022.

Born in Durham, NC, she was raised by Maurice and Claudia Palmer in Anderson, SC. Shirley retired from a rewarding career in teaching after forty years. In Shirley's spare time she enjoyed sunsets, country music, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family.

Shirley is survived by her four children, Joseph (Abby), Timothy, Roger (Angela), and Heidi (John); her eight grandchildren Joseph, Jonathan (Catherine), Jarrod (Jaclyn), Mekiya, Jackson (Danielle), Omar, Grace, and Mason; and her five great grandchildren Harrison, Kennedy, Charlotte, Wyatt, and Griffin.

A graveside service will be held at 1PM on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at 260 Orange Avenue, Clermont, FL 34711.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or Boys Town.
