Also it was her love for children that she became a 4-H and Girl Scout leader for many years.  She loved to craft and paint anything her hands touched (before she passed, she told Elmer to look up at the clouds and he would see what she painted for him).  Wedding cakes, birthday cakes were a joy for her to make. They moved to Florida in the 80s and traveled all over the country and seen many beautiful new places from Alaska to Florida. There was never a stranger around her.  They bought their current home that needed work and fixed it up to be their own.  Mom went to clown school in 1985.  She entertained many children and adults as "Cowbell the Clown."  She loved to make people smile and laugh.  She was proud to be a member of the Daughters of American Revolution, War of 1812, Colonial Dames, Ionia County (Michigan) Genealogy Society First Families, Mayflower Society, and Church of Nazarene.  She felt life was to enjoyed and she did just that. She was always supportive, saying "You can do anything you want to do." She is preceded in death by two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
