Obituary
Shirley Inez Wetzel Farrell passed away on March 6, 2017 at the young age of 95. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Martin Farrell, and her loving son, Michael Farrell. Also preceded by her brother, Philip "Ike" Wetzel, her sister-in-law, Shirley Alloy, and brother-in-law, Frank Farrell. She is survived by her son, Bob Farrell, and daughter-in-law Ethel, granddaughter Colleen (Jim) Sabella, great grandchildren Emily, Jaime, and Tony Sabella. She is also survived by grandson Hervey Farrell, great granddaughter Tatyana Iryarry, sister-in-law Rita Wetzel, nephews Philip Jr., and Kenneth (Lynn)Wetzel, niece Kathy Ayo, and cousin Milton Sens. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in New Orleans and a retired employee of the State of Louisiana. MawMaw, we will miss your beautiful smile, your sassiness, and your great cooking. In lieu of flowers, please have masses said in Shirley's honor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered and burial at Lakelawn Park will take place in New Orleans on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
