Shelby A. Wilson, II, born November 1, 1946, passed away peacefully at
his residence in Clermont, FL on August 28, 2024.
Shelby faithfully served in the United States Air Force, as well as the
Florida Air National Guard. After retirement, he enjoyed life to the
fullest at his home in Clermont.
He is survived by his wife of 30+ years, Deborah (Deby); his daughters
Tracey (Benjamin) Walling; Rebecca (Todd) Jackson; and his bonus
children Katy (Brian) Hetherton; Jeffrey (Dana) Friedrich; and Jason
(Kira) Friedrich; and his grandchildren Ella Walling, Ainsley Walling,
Coleman Jackson, Miles Jackson, Lennox Jackson, Aidan Friedrich, and
Nolan Friedrich; his brother John (Lynda) Wilson; and mother-in-law
Donna Stegner.
At Shelby's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
Instead, he asked that friends and loved ones raise a glass and share
their memories. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials in
Shelby's name to The Florida Audubon Society, https://fl.audubon.org/
in an effort to help and protect his beloved eagles.
