Sara Jane Guffey passed away on November 28, 2023, in Ocoee, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, William (Bill) H. Guffey in 2016.

Jane was born in Metcalf, Illinois on April 4, 1933.  Daughter of Ermel (Watson) Kelley and Leo Dale Kelley.  Jane graduated high school in Metcalf, Illinois. After school, Jane worked a short time at Barkman Chevrolet in Danville. She started working at Illinois Bell Telephone Co. in 1954. She was retired from Ameritech after 30 years of service. In 1974, Jane married William Guffey. Most of her retirement years were spent in Florida—Lakeland for four years, then in Clermont from 1998 to the present (2023). During their retirement years, Jane and Bill enjoyed traveling through North America in their motorhome. Also, golfing and much music and singing. Always music everywhere! Jane was a member of First United Methodist Church of Clermont.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Guffey, her sister and brother in law, Carolyn and Ken Broady, and parents, Ermel and Dale Kelley.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, 11am, at Living Hope Church in Clermont.
