Salvatore Emil Scarola, 73, Clermont, passed away January 2, 2013 at home with family by his side & under the care of hospice. He was born October 27, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY son of Geneieve DeVita & Emil Scarola. On May 9, 1964 he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth O'Donnell in Brooklyn. He was an insurance underwriter and a local resident since 2002 from Brooklyn and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Surviving is his Mary Elizabeth Scarola; children Robert Scarola, Cold Spring, NY; Barbara Ann Scarola, Putnam Valley, NY & twins Susan Marie (Anthony) Misuraca, Putnam Valley & Elizabeth Ann (Michael) Ricci, Wappingers Falls, NY; grandchildren Isabella, Olivia, Eva & Michael Christopher; brother Joseph (Carmela) Scarola, Brooklyn & nieces & nephws.



Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, celebrated by Very Reverend Robert E. Webster. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Further services & burial will take place in Cold Spring, NY.
