Sally Olsen passed into Heaven peacefully on September 10, 2023 at the age of 88, following a challenging end of life phase that included hip fracture surgery, deterioration, and worsening dementia. Sally and husband Hal served The Lord their whole lives as career missionaries with Africa Inland Mission including Congo, Kenya, and the Comoro Islands (speaking both French & Swahili) followed by retirement at AIM Media in Minneola Florida.

Sally, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan , was a lifelong member of the Calvary Undenominational Church family, which generously provided mission support. She learned to love fishing from her father, trained as a combined Lab/X-Ray tech, and then worked in AIM mission hospitals. She later added mission station book-keeping tasks. Sally was also known for her laughter, good cooking and hospitality.

She now joins husband Hal, daughter Jeannie lost to malaria in Congo, & baby boy lost to Rh blood problems in Grand Rapids.
She is survived by two sons, Michael in Michigan & Daniel in Florida, both raised in Africa, and multiple grandchildren.
