Ruth Ann Webb of Clermont, FL passed away peacefully Sunday evening July 7, 2024 at the age of 93.
Born on February 12, 1931 in the Avilla Community of Jasper County Missouri. She was the 13th of 14 children. The Evans family were leaders in the 4H program. The family was awarded "Farmer Of The Year " in 1938.
Ruth Ann graduated from Carthage High School in 1949. She went on to college to earn an associates at Ozarko in 1950.
She married Joe B. Webb on July 29,1950. They lived in Carthage, Missouri where she became a loving mother to 3 children, one daughter Sheila and 2 sons Michael and Craig.
In 1971 the family moved to the Pine Castle community in Orlando, Florida. She worked as a teacher's assistant from the 1970's thru 1980. She taught at Pine Castle Elementary, Palmetto Elementary, and Lancaster Elementary schools.
Throughout her life she enjoyed playing bridge, flower gardening, exercising, sewing, cooking, entertaining in her home, and motorcycle riding with Joes and Friends of the Orange County Cruisers.
She was a member of Presbyterian Churches in Carthage, Missouri, Pine Castle and Clermont, Florida.
She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Webb of 49 years, her Mother Anna Florence "Sue" Oliver Evans, her Father Howard Evans, and 12 siblings.
She is survived by 1 sister Wilma, 1 sister-in-law Janet, 3 children Sheila Martin, Michael Webb, and Craig Webb, 6 grandchildren Jeremy, Kristine, Jennifer, Jamie, Caleb, Madison and 6 great grandchildren.
Friends and family are welcome for visitation from  3pm - 4pm Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Becker Funeral Home. Services to follow at 4pm.
