Rozella Elizabeth Meadows, 99, Groveland, passed away November 6, 2012 at South Lake Hospital. She was born August 5, 1913 in Chicago, IL daughter of Kitty Ellen Johnson & Austin Sylvester Russell and moved to the area in 1914 as an infant. She was the oldest graduate of Groveland High School as well as oldest member of her church, First Baptist Church of Groveland of which she was an active member until declining health prevented her from participating in church activities. For a number of years she worked at the old South Lake Hospital as a Nurse's Aide and was proud to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her husband Valeen Meadows preceded her in death in 1964 as did her sister Amy in infancy. Surviving is her daughter Rozellen Bowling & husband Daniel of Groveland; grandsons Ronald Drummonds & wife Audrey of Valrico, FL; Robin Glass & wife Shawna of Warm Springs, GA & Rick Glass and wife Tangee of Homer, GA; 8 great-grandchildren & 6 great-great-grandchildren.



The funeral service for Mrs. Meadows will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2012 in the Becker Chapel. Reverend George Bouley will officiate.
