Roy "Frank" Rogers, 75, of Montverde, Florida was called home to heaven on August 31, , 2021.
Frank was a devoted husband, father and family man. He served in the US Army Security Agency during the Viet Nam War. He was respected in his town, church, and citrus community as a man of integrity. His word was his bond and he dealt fairly with everyone. He served 12 years on the Montverde Town Council and 25 years as a Montverde Volunteer Fireman. Frank taught a Sunday School class, sang in the choir, and served as a deacon at Clermont First Baptist Church for many years. His career in citrus covered more than 50 years working for South Lake Apopka CGA, Faryna Grove Care, and Lee Groves.
Frank's greatest joy was his family. He enjoyed family dinners, game nights, and road trips. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Bessie Rogers and his sons, Jody Lee Rogers and David Glen Rogers. He is survived by his wife, June Rogers; daughters, Christy Bray (Todd), and Chastity Lafferty (Bennie); sisters, Joyce McWilliams (Larry) and Betty Burns. Grandchildren: Austin Vrotney, Maegan Lafferty, Caleb Lafferty, and Grayson Caughell; great grandson, Westin Henderson.
On Sunday, September 5 th , there will be visitation (2:00 -3:00) followed by a Celebration of Life Service starting at 3:00 at Clermont First Baptist Church, 2751 Hartwood Marsh Road, Clermont, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Samaritan's Purse.
