Rosario Anthony "Tony" Mancuso, age 92, Montverde, passed away April 9, 2014 at South Lake Hospital. He was born March 14, 1922 in Syracuse, NY son of Rosa & Rosario Mancuso. He served in the US Army during WWII & the Korean Conflict and was a local resident since 1942. He was a block mason. A member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and former usher, he was active in the town of Montverde, having been a councilman, mayor & fire chief and former American Legion member. His wife Enid Anne Lowry Mancuso preceded him in death in 1994 as did his daughter Diane Carroll in 2011. Surviving are his daughter Elaine "Ro" Pool & husband Dan of LaBelle, FL, Son-in-law John Carroll; grandchildren Bryan Carroll, Danny Pool & wife Ali, Lori Gifford & husband Jake & Dana Pool Frey; great-grandchildren Luke, Nolan,Mati, Mallory, Josh & Reese. The funeral service for Mr. Mancuso will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Montverde United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
