Rosalie Lillian (Ouimette) Shiflett

Rosalie Lillian Shiflett of Davenport, Florida passed away peacefully at home on January 01, 2022, at the age of 84 years.

Rose was born August 26, 1937, in Sparrows Point, Maryland, the daughter of Anna (Fackett) Ouimette and Wilfred Ouimette.

Rose married her high school sweetheart James Wesley Shiflett on October 26, 1957 in Sparrows Point, Maryland.  They raised three sons in Dundalk, Maryland before eventually moving to Bel Air, Maryland in 1986.

Rose's career in Office Administration began prior to becoming a wife and mother and was restarted in 1968 once her children became of school age.  She worked for the Baltimore City School system for 10 years at Hampstead Hill Junior High as an Office Secretary.  She later joined the Bethlehem Steel Corporation' Information Services group in 1979.  Rose finished her career as an Executive Secretary/Administrative Assistant at the Lockheed Martin Company in 1985 before retiring in 1999.

Rose and Jim enjoyed spending weekends at their beach home in Selbyville, DE where they entertained friends and family.  Upon Jim's retirement in 2004 they relocated to Davenport, Florida.

Rose was a loving person who enjoyed spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible.

Rose is survived by her husband James Wesley Shiflett, three sons James Michael, Brian Wesley (Kimberly), and Anthony Thomas (Anne), sisters Delores Quitt and Francis Fields, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is pre-deceased by her sister Civilan George and two brothers Wilfred (Sonny) and James Ouimette.

There are no plans for services at this time, but a celebration of life service will be planned in the future in Bel Air, Maryland.
