Obituary

Ronald Eugene Hoch, 92, Clermont, FL passed away December 21, 2013 at South Lake Hospital in Clermont. He was born January 31, 1921 in Mount Union, PA son of Clara Blanche Sentman & Harper Hoch, who died from Typhoid Fever when Ronald was six weeks old. Clara married Ralph Snyder two years later giving him two half-brothers Herbert & Charles Snyder plus a sister Fae Heffnes. On May 26, 1942 he was united in marriage to Isable Elizabeth Runk in Winchester, VA. He was drafted into the US Army during WW2 & served in the 5th Infantry Red Diamond Division and served in combat in France, Germany, Austria & Luxumberg. He then returned to his job as freight conductor on Penn Railroad New York Central and Conrail retiring in 1980 after 40 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Blue Juniato VFW Post 754, Mount Union, PA. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing & gardening. A local 20 year central Florida resident, he was a member of Real Life Christian Church. Surviving is his wife Isabel; son Wayne (Susan) Hoch, Tavares, FL; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren & son-in-law Bill Hoehn, Clermont. He was preceded in death by his daughters Carol Hoch & Beverly Hoehn & his three siblings. Burial will take place in Shirleysburg, PA on Friday, December 13, 2013.
