Ronald Ray Bogart, 76, Clermont, FL & Continental, OH passed away November 2, 2010 at his Florida residence. He was born October 10, 1934 in Columbus Grove, OH, son of the late Orval Ray Bogart & Floy Almeda Eversole Bogart. On June 3, 1956 he was united in marriage to Velma Homan in Continental. As a lifelong farmer with his wife, he was a faithful steward of the soil who loved and respected the land. He also enjoyed working part-time at Walt Disney World during retirement. He was a former board member of Youth For Christ in Defiance, OH; member of Rufus Putman Masonic Lodge #364 F & AM; Kiwanian & member of First United Methodist Church in Clermont where he was a member of the Newspaper Ministry and a choir member. He enjoyed his family, travel & square dancing. Preceding him in death were 5 siblings. Surviving is his wife Velma; daughters & their husbands Peggy & James Merriman, Oakwood, OH & Pamela & Trennis Henderson, Arkadelphia, AR; grandchildren Miranda (Chuck) Pennington, Michael Ron Bogart Britsch, Emily (Tyler) Moore & Audrey Henderson & siblings Marie Bourquin, Bluffton, OH; Mildred Maxwell, Dyer, IN; Alice Burkholder, Columbus Grove & Jean (Tom) Kaple, Lima, OH.
The funeral service for Ron Bogart will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 5, 2010 at First United Methodist Church of Clermont. Reverend Doug Kokx will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Becker Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home in Continental, OH. Reverend Chuck Schmunk, Continental United Methodist Church, will officiate. A private inurnment will follow in Monroe Cemetery in Continental. Visitation will be on Monday, November 8, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Heitmeyer Funeral Home.
