Obituary

Rod McGee sure will be missed by many. He loved Miami, the town that he was born and raised in, and the amazing friends that surrounded him there. He loved football and his MSHS teammates. His accomplishments as a personal injury attorney are a legacy. He loved cooking for people and he loved fishing, Most of all, he loved his daughters, Alexis and Kelly, and granddaughters Riley and Hudson.
Rod really loved life. Those that know him know he lived it to the fullest. Rod's wit, humor and charm will be what we miss most about him. With his wit, he could always help a friend in need. With his humor, he could always make you laugh, he was the life of the party. And with his charm, he was always endearing and kind, often allowing him to get away with more than he should. :)
Rod had a big heart, he was proud of where he came from, his mom was always a shining light in his life even after she passed at a young age, and his father was a well known veterinarian in Miami that helped so many. He never forgot his roots.
Towards the end of his life Rod had a rough road, but he was so thankful for the friends and family that helped him, prayed for him and were there for him.
Rod may have left us too early, but he lived and loved big during his time here. His daughter Alexis was always by his side and he started a new chapter of life with his granddaughters. He was so proud of them and loved them so much. I'm sorry he won't have more time with them, but he will be watching over them always….or looking up at them. :)
