Obituary

Robin Peacock, age 62, beloved wife, mother and friend passed away peacefully on February 12, after a long battle with breast cancer. Robin was born in Germany and at five months of age was adopted by a loving American family that was working in the DOD school system. She spent her early years in Europe with her adoptive family and attended high school in Karlsruhe, Germany.
She relocated to Florida to study fashion design at college and spent the remainder of her life in the state with the last 28 year living in Montverde. Her early career was in property management after she obtained her Real Estate Brokers license.  After she was married and had children she happily quit work to devote herself to raising her two daughters. She spent many hours volunteering at her daughter's elementary school and after her daughters became adults she began work as an assistant PE teacher at Grassy Lake Elementary school. She loved working with the children, particularly the special needs kids, offering them the compassion and support that allowed them to flourish. The students and faculty always recognized her for her stylish and color coordinated athletic wear, right down to her athletic shoes.
Known for her warrior spirit, steadfast focus and refusal to give up, Robin served as an inspiration to all who knew her. Her absence leaves a profound void and she will be deeply missed by her beloved family, friends, neighbors and the community she touched with her love, kindness and determination.
She is predeceased by her parents, Paul Thome and Lily Cressey Thome. She is survived by her devoted husband Jim and daughters Bethany and Cassandra, her sister Gloria Lochrane and husband Tom Lochrane, and her sister Heidi Blakey and husband Guy Blakey.

A Celebration of Life for Robin will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 1PM to 4PM at the Montverde Community Center, 17436 Division St. Montverde, Fl. 34756. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Robins name to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Mike Conley Hospice House located in Clermont.
