Robert William Whitfield, age 72, of Minneola, Florida died peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Whitfield and his sons; Wes and Brent Whitfield.

Bob, a proud Marine and Vietnam Veteran, was a lifelong partner and husband to Carol. He was her strength. He was a good father to his boys, whom he dearly loved. He was very proud of their accomplishments and the men that they have become.

Bob was an accomplished bass fisherman who placed 22 ^nd in the All-American Championship in 2006. He was a dedicated and selfless friend and mentor to his sons and their friends. Bob will be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 10:00 am at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, Florida.
