Obituary

Robert Harold Weber, 80, of Clermont, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 surrounded by family and friends in the comfort of his home.  Known as Bob (or "The Mayor" among his neighbors), he was a man loved by so many.  He was a giver and he gave of his time and talents, and there were many.  Bob had so many hobbies including music, model trains, gardening, pets, fish tank and pond, wood-working, crafting, and camping with his wife.

Bob was born to Frank and Helen Weber and raised in Patterson, NJ.  He was a beloved school teacher in New Jersey, where he taught countless students over a 39-year career.  He was very active as a Free and Accepted Mason, as a member of the Vehslage Lodge of Union NJ, quickly becoming a Worshipful Master and ultimately the Grand Marshal for the State of NJ.  He sang choir tenor for St Uriel's Church in Sea Girt, NJ.  He was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, having sung with the Oceannaires of Toms River, NJ, the Four-Gone-Conclusion quartet, and the Heralds of Harmony of Tampa, Florida. He played instruments (including saxophones and clarinet) and sang with the Sentimentals, a wedding and gig band, with performances throughout NJ.  He was the Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 14 of Beachwood, NJ and helped over a dozen scouts (including his two sons) earn the rank of Eagle.

Bob had a brilliant mind and a huge base of knowledge.  He was always ready to share anything he owned or knew about.  Bob was a man who made friends wherever he went; no one was a stranger.  Bob surrounded himself with many friends and neighbors whom he held as close as family.

Robert (Bob) H. Weber is survived by his wife Dawn, his children Rob (Michelle) Weber, Brian (Naomi) Weber, Alison Omelio, Joseph (Jennifer) Omelio, and Vincent (Brittany) Omelio.  Bob was the loving grandfather of D'Artagnan, Bobby, Alex, Alex, Olivia, Giuliana, Alana, and Evelyn.
