Robert Thomas Smallwood, 66, Groveland, passed away March 13, 2014 at home. He was born February 22, 1948 in Troy, NY son of Helen Patrick & Sherod Smallwood and was a Florida resident since 1957 from there. He was a Correctional Officer for the State of Florida and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by five siblings. Surviving are his wife Gwendolyn Johns Smallwood & daughter Katrina (Dave) Svochak all of Groveland; son Robert C. (Angela) Smallwood, Mascotte; granddaughter Cadence Solana & siblings Dolores Ostwald, Troy, NY & William (Dolores) Connelly, Green Island, NY. The funeral service for Mr. Smallwood will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 17, 2014 in the Becker Chapel. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2014.
