Belmar – Robert Vincent Pringle, 90, formerly of Belmar, NJ, currently of Winter Garden, FL passed away September 16, 2018.  He was born in Harrison, NJ, son of Gladys Duckworth and John Pringle. On January 19, 1952 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Frank Pringle.  Robert was a lifeguard in Belmar, NJ, a lifelong parishioner of St. Rose Catholic Church and also a Korean War Army veteran.

Robert joined the Belmar Police Department and became Sergeant.  He was also an electrician with Freehold Electric IBEW Local 400.  He also became a Fire Official and an Emergency Management Coordinator in Belmar, NJ.  Robert was also a life member of Goodwill Hose Fire Company in Belmar, New Jersey for 69 years, joining in 1949.  In that time, he has served in many positions including President (1967) Chief (1960 through 1962) and 25 years as treasurer from 1973 to 1998.  In 1999, Goodwill Hose Company honored him by renaming their firemen's hall after him.

Robert was predeceased by his loving wife of almost 64 years Lorraine, his son, Kevin, his brothers Jack, William, Kenneth, Richard and his sister Gladys.

He is survived by his sons Gregory (Maureen) Pringle, Clermont, FL; Glenn (Trish) Pringle, Wall, NJ; Sharon Rodriguez, Clermont, FL; Sean (Adrianne) Pringle, Wall, NJ; Karen (Mindy) Jacob; and Jeffrey Pringle, Freehold, NJ.  He also has 17 grandchildren and 8 grandchildren.
