IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert William
Miller
April 24, 1945 – May 26, 2023
Robert "Bob" William Miller, age 78, passed away on May 26, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on April 24, 1945, in Hempstead, NY, Bob was the youngest of two sons born to Ira and Mildred Miller.
Bob dedicated 39 years of his life to Walt Disney World, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement. Prior to his career at Disney, Bob served his country with honor in the United States Navy. In his leisure time, Bob found solace and joy in bass fishing, a hobby he pursued with great enthusiasm. He was also a devoted member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church in King, North Carolina. Bob crossed paths with his future wife, Cheryle, in junior high school. Their bond deepened over time, and on June 5, 1964, the day after their high school graduation from Cocoa High School (and the day before Bob reported to the Navy), they sealed their love in marriage. Together, Bob and Cheryle were blessed with three daughters, Cherie, Patti, and Shirley, who brought immense joy to their lives. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Mildred Miller, his brother Ira Miller Jr., and his daughter Cherie Curnutte.
Bob will forever be remembered by his beloved wife of nearly 59 years, Cheryle, his daughters Patti Pearson (Jason) and Shirley Argall, as well as his grandchildren Robert Curnutte (Deonna), Brandie Ebert (Tim), Robbie Burwell, and Drew Argall. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Aubrey, Elaina, Cherie, Connor, Morgan, and Olivia.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Henry Chapel at First Baptist Orlando, located at 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32805, on Thursday, June 1st, at 2:30 PM. Additionally, a service in Bob's honor will be conducted at his cherished home church on Sunday, June 25th, at 2:00 PM. The service will take place at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, situated at 1024 Volunteer Road, King, NC 27021.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Bob's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at lls.org. Your support will help advance vital research and make a difference in the lives of others affected by these diseases.
