Obituary

Robert C. LeMay, 84, of Clermont, Florida passed away Tuesday May 5, 2020.

Robert Charles LeMay (Bob) was born on July 14, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He lived in Mount Prospect, Illinois until he attended Carleton University in Northfield, Minnesota. He graduated in 1957 with a bachelor's degree majoring in geology. After Graduation he joined the US Army. Bob was a member of the 218 th military intelligence detachment, attached to the 8 th core, Ft Bragg 82 nd airborne division. After serving two years he was honorably discharged in the fall of 1959.

Robert went on to work for the Henry Pratt Co. for thirty years as an industrial valve salesman in the New York/New Jersey area. In 1989 he opened the Henry Pratt sales office in West Palm Beach, Florida. Eventually he founded LeMay-Stark Enterprise, Inc. representing Henry Pratt Co. and other valve companies.

After retiring in April 2005, he and his wife Gail moved to Kings Ridge in Clermont, Florida. Bob spent most of his retirement golfing with his friends. He was an avid golfer for 65 years. He had a love for all sports and was a lifelong loyal fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks.

Robert will be greatly missed by his wife Gail M. (Carpenter) LeMay, Married June 17, 1961. Their four children: Michelle M. LeMay (Luis), Michael R. LeMay (Mollissa), Annette LeMay Montgomery (Stephen), and Suzy LeMay Silvers (David). Grandchildren: Michael R. Corbo, Chloe and Cami Poggi, Olyvia, Justin and Jordan LeMay, Alex and Trent Silvers. Also surviving are Robert's beloved brother and sister-in-law, Richard T. and Margaret Kelly LeMay.
