Robert A. (Bob) Kick, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on
August 14, 2021
, surrounded by his loving family following a brief terminal illness.
He was born on
May 19, 1928
, where he was raised in the Chicago area and married his best friend and the love of his life, Alice (Wielgorecki) Kick and celebrated 53 years of marriage together before she passed away in 2003. They had three children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Bob was an entrepreneur of Advanced Metal Signs, a silk screen sign printing business in Harvey, IL. where he was well respected for his hard work, dedication and the quality of his work by all his customers for over 30 years. He then semi-retired and moved to Delray Beach, FL for over 30 years. In 2015 after he lost his 2
nd
wife, Debbie of 7 years to cancer, he then permanently retired and moved to Royal Highlands, Leesburg Florida in 2015 to be near his Daughter and Son-In-law.
Bob is survived by his three children; Robert (Bob) Kick, Jr., (Ft. Myers Beach) Barbara Kick (Chicago) and Bonnie (Kick)Tyner and Ray Tyner, son in law, (Leesburg) and his 3 remaining siblings, Patricia (Kick) Hepworth, Donald Kick and Jack Kick. Grandchildren to Nicholas Kick, Cameron Kick, Jeremy Beard, Robby Tyner, Paula Kick, Kyra Kick, Tanya Tyner and Great Grandson to Cayden Kick.
Bob was known for his great love of family, friends and his dog Skipper, and was known for his generosity, laughter and great sense of humor. He was passionate about life and especially enjoyed, fresh water fishing (Bass), dancing, playing his Concertina, Polka music, playing Pinocle, shuffle board, bocce ball and participating in aquacise classes. He was often seen working around the house gardening and especially enjoyed growing EarthBox Tomato plants. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
His "Celebration & Remembrance Mass" will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Clermont, FL on Tuesday, August 24th at
10:30
a.m. Immediately following the mass the family with be traveling down to Boca Raton Cemetery & Mausoleum for a
3:30 pm
graveside memorial.
There will be a special memorial get together with family and friends at Royal Highlands to be announced for later this year.
