Robert "Bob" Hickman (86) of Clermont, FL, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord at South Lake Hospital on February 22, 2020.
Born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania to Hulings and Hilda Hickman, Bob graduated from Upper Darby High School in Upper Darby, PA where he was active for many years as part of the Reunion Committee. He furthered his career at Widener University where he received a Bachelors Degree. An Army veteran, Bob was stationed in Germany before he was honorably discharged. His professional career spanned many years working and eventually retiring from Bell Telephone (now Verizon) in Philadelphia. He then continued a second career as the Vice President, Operations for Roach Brothers Realty in Devon, PA before "really" retiring to the sunny state of Florida.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lourdes (Capistrano) Hickman; his stepdaughter, Lisa and her husband, Chris Black of Windermere, FL; his stepson, Cesar Olegario and his wife Ceasca of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Piper and Brodie Black and Corbin and Gerard Olegario; his sister Peggy and her husband Dale Nielsen of New Tripoli, PA; and his nephews, Gary, Glenn, Gregg, Kirk, and Keith (deceased).
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, March 2 at 11am, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at https://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org/ways-to-give/donate-now on behalf of Robert Hickman.
