Robert Patrick "Pat" Hammond

Raised to Eternal Life: September 17, 2025

Pat Hammond, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on September 17, 2025. Born in Washington, D.C., Pat spent much of his "growing up years" in Ocoee, Florida, before moving to Clermont, Florida later in life.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 3:00 PM EST at The Church at South Lake, 1860 Hancock Rd, Clermont, FL 34711. The service will also be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.

Pat is survived by his loving parents, Bob Hammond and Nita Hammond, his devoted sister Robin Riker (Blake), cherished niece Erica Fagan (Ryan), nephews Nicholas Riker (Amanda) and Seth Riker (Danae), his adored great-nieces and nephews: Troy (8), Willow (7), Callahan (5), Annie Blake (2), and Jackson (1) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that meant so much to him.

Pat was truly the life of every gathering. His infectious laugh, quick wit, and deep sense of compassion made everyone around him feel seen and loved. He found great joy in football—cheering loudly for his beloved Redskins and Gators—and had a special appreciation for baseball, where he spent many years playing for the Ocoee Little League. Known for his love of the outdoors, Pat spent countless hours in his yard mowing, planting flowers, and simply enjoying the peace it brought him. His greatest comfort came from his relationship with Christ. He had too many bible verses that he loved but he would tell you to read them all.

Above all, Pat valued time spent with his family. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the kind of joy that lingers long after the moment has passed. While he will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in the promises of God and the assurance that they will one day be reunited.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Pat's memory to The Salvation Army.
