Robert "Bob" D. Fitzpatrick (Fritz), 86 of Clermont, FL, formerly of Creve Coeur, IL passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:34 AM at his daughter's residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 16, 1930 to Helen (Fitzpatrick) McCullen. She precedes him in death. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Peggy (nee: Fennell) of Clermont; four children, Robert M. (Vicky) of Kennedale, TX, Patrick of Washington, IL, Debbie (Leon) Myers of Peoria, IL and Elizabeth (Michael) Nolan of Clermont, FL; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Steve Keefe of Mattoon, IL and his beloved dog, Passion Fruit.
Bob worked at Ace Ambulance, Peoria Autobody, then went on to work at Rain Bird Sprinklers, retiring there after 21 years. He then went on to work at the Bergner's Warehouse in Pioneer Park. Bob and his wife Peggy then continued retirement in Daytona Beach Shore, FL where they made their home.
Bob was a huge NASCAR fan watching his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt and was infatuated with Marilyn Monroe. He also enjoyed a cold draft beer at David's Brass Rail in Peoria. He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Bob was very caring, he had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by many. He was a people watcher, he could sit hours a day watching people.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services per the family. A Celebration of his Life will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
